No date (2008) twenty pence error:
Obv: ELIZABETH II D.G.REG.F.D bust left.
This obverse (head side) was meant for the Tudor Rose type 2008 coin which was dated on the reverse (Tudor Rose) side. The new Royal Shield of Arms coin was to be dated on the obverse. The error being that the older obverse (head side) die was used to make the new type coins resulting in the "mule" undated Twenty pence.
Rev: TWENTY PENCE part of the righthand side of the Royal Shield of Arms.

These coins are the first in more than 300 years to be issued in the UK with no date, and, as such have become an instant collectors? item.
